Pink Sky Featured Traveler - November
The Pink Sky featured traveler for the month of November is Nia Adams! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Nia in her finance business and she’s been a tremendous help in helping me know and understand that budgeting isn’t a bad thing. It’s simply telling my money where to go. Nia and I met on Facebook and I recently met her for the first time at an event she hosted and that I spoke at. I was able to catch up with Nia and ask her a bit about her travels. She’s an avid traveler!

To date, what’s been your favorite travel destination? What about this destination makes it your favorite?
Belize, I feel at home in Belize, I enjoy the people and the fresh fish. Belize puts me at peace and it's a great place to retire.
What do you love most about travel? What is your favorite thing about traveling?
I love learning the real history of different countries. I enjoy listening to them tell their own stories not what I read in a history book depicted by a foreigner to the country. I love trying new foods and learning about their culture and traditions. I love learning new ways to do things and different perspectives. Sharing stories laughs and meeting new people along the way. Travel is BAE!
Name something positive that you took away from your last travel adventure?
That rest is ok. Doing nothing is ok. Just because I'm on vacation doesn't mean I need to be a tourist, it just as fine to use my vacation to gather myself while surrounded by beautiful beaches and good food.
Tell me about your favorite vacation picture and why it’s your favorite.
My favorite travel pic right now has to be La Sagrada Familia in Spain. And honestly, it’s not just because the building is gorgeous. It’s more about what it means to me. The original architect created something so different from what was 'normal' back then, and now it’s this massive success.
But here’s the crazy part—the building still isn’t finished, yet people from all over the world travel just to see it.
That hit me hard. It’s like, don’t be afraid to step outside the box and try something different, even if it feels weird or out of place. And just because you haven’t finished a project or reached your goal yet doesn’t make it any less important or amazing.
Mistakes or unfinished work doesn’t define you. Be proud of how far you’ve come, even if you’re not done yet."
Which destination is currently at the top of your travel bucket list? What intrigues you about this destination?
I’ve been thinking about venturing around Africa and hitting up Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa. There’s just so much to learn and experience! I want to hear from the locals about their history and stories that you won’t find in textbooks.
Thank you so much, Nia for your time and telling us about your travels! Here are a few more pictures from Nia’s travels.
Do you know someone that should the Pink Sky Featured Traveler? Send us an email with their information. We’d love to feature them!
